- How can hypnosis eliminate anxiety?
Anxiety is a fearful feeling that you have as a result of a previous frightening experience. An experience that is in the past that you probably can't recall. We all understand how easy it is to be "traumatized" for life by a single event. It should, therefore be easy to understand that we can become un-traumatized almost as easily! Hypnosis is the most effective tool to remove the trauma and see it as something that can't hurt you anymore, because it is over! You already survived it!
- I don't even know where the anxiety came from but it is getting worse. Can hypnosis help me?
One little scary experience can create a fear that is triggered every time you experience something that reminds you of the original event. Eventually you are just afraid of the scary feeling. It is like being afraid of FEAR! All your memories are in your unconscious mind. Your unconscious mind keeps you frightened because it thinks it is protecting you from some danger it recalls from the past. When your unconscious minds learns that it is safe, those feelings go away...permanently!
- How many sessions will it take?
This is a very common question but cannot be answered honestly because everyone responds differently to hypnosis. I have had some clients that took one session to eliminate the anxiety completely, while another took 3 or 4 sessions.
- What if I can't be hypnotized?
If you have fears of something that are no longer a danger to you, you are probably a good candidate for hypnosis. All you need for success is a willingness to follow directions and a desire to change. Is it that simple? YES, IT IS! Anyone who wants to be hypnotized, can be.
- Will the anxiety come back?
No, that anxiety will be gone permanently.

Anxiety & Panic Attacks
The subconscious mind protects you from dangers, real or imagined. Imagined dangers are the ones that create subconscious feelings of anxiety and panic. Thoughts create feelings and feelings create behaviors. When you experience something, it often triggers
an old experience or thought that brings on a feeling of being anxious. Even though the event creating the fear happened a very long time ago, it feels as though you are experiencing it right now and you experience panic. Hypnosis can get to the bottom of the cause of the anxiety removing the need for the subconscious mind to create a feeling of panic. You will also learn stress reducing skills to use is anxiety producing situations
Hypnotherapy for anxiety and panic attacks targets the processes that we have learned early in life. As with all learning it is impossible to unlearn, but when you learn something new, more useful, it replaces the old learned beliefs. This is why hypnotherapy is so effective for anxiety. For instance you learned as a child not to climb high on ladders, it is dangerous for a child. However, as an adult, you have the strength and understanding to climb safely. Some of us, however, developed a fear of heights from that simple childhood experience. It is the same for all your anxious fears. Once you have learned these something, it stays with you and it is often very difficult to unlearn them on your own. This is where hypnotherapy for anxiety is so effective. It is able to access these sub-conscious beliefs and help you to unlearn them and see that you are now safe and have the resources to handle what you need to in a calm, controlled manner. Sometimes anxiety is caused by a trauma that happened quickly, sometimes it was repeated exposure to something scary. Either way, hypnosis can change the thought that brings on those feelings.
